Our cannabis drinks need some time to work their magic. Even though the drinks shouldn’t sneak up on you hours later like a dorm room space cake, it should take between 15 to 45 minutes for you to start feeling the effects of the drink. (That’s a bit longer than one of our beers— adjust accordingly!)

We get it — that seems unpredictable. But everybody’s body is different, right? Your metabolism, diet, and even what you eat during the day — all that can speed up or slow down how fast your body processes and absorbs the THC and CBD infused in the drink. Unlike smoking or vaping your cannabis, where the effects hit you within a couple minutes, drinking it means it has to be absorbed through the digestive tract, before it hits your bloodstream and you begin to feel the effects. Knowing this is key, and all you need in order to avoid the dreaded double-dose scenario is some patience. We don’t add any sketchy chemicals that are designed to kick your metabolism into overdrive, just to speed up how fast the drink hits you. Fun Fact: everyone has an endocannabinoid system with known receptors! Our drinks use emulsion technologies to give them more consistency (and taste better), so when it comes time for these little molecules to bind to your body's receptors, your body knows exactly what to do! You just gotta let it do its thing! 

So even though each drink may hit you a little more quickly (or slowly) than the last one, that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong. It’s just how body variables works, so keep that in mind and give each drink roughly a half-hour window to do its thing. And once you start feeling those effects, remember that they might change and evolve a little bit as you progress. Whether its your first drink or your fifth, just relax into the experience, however fast it takes you.
